Chicken Karhai is a dish in Pakistani cuisine. It is served in a pot which looks like a Karhai. The name of the dish is derived from the fact.

Mutton Karahi Recipe (Restaurant Style)

Ingredients:

  • Mutton: 1 kg
  • Cooking oil: 1 cup
  • Pyaz: 3 medium (bareek kati hui)
  • Tamatar: 4–5 medium (pissay huay ya bareek kate)
  • Adrak lehsan paste: 2 tbsp
  • Hari mirch: 6–8 (aadhi kati hui)
  • Lal mirch powder: 1 tbsp
  • Kashmiri lal mirch: 1 tbsp (rang ke liye)
  • Haldi: 1 tsp
  • Namak: hasb-e-zaiqa
  • Zeera powder: 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder: 1 tsp
  • Dahi: ½ cup
  • Hara dhania: ½ cup (bareek kata)
  • Adrak (julienne): 1 tbsp
  • Hari mirch (julienne): 2–3
  • Lemon: 1 (optional)

👩‍🍳 Banane ka tareeqa:

  1. Karahi mein oil garam karein aur pyaz daal kar golden brown hone tak bhunain۔
  2. Ab adrak lehsan paste daal kar 1 minute bhunain۔
  3. Tamatar, namak, lal mirch, kashmiri mirch aur haldi daal kar achhi tarah bhunain jab tak oil alag na ho jaye۔
  4. Mutton daal kar tez aanch par 5–7 minute bhunain۔
  5. Dahi daal kar mix karein aur dhakkan de kar medium aanch par 40–45 minute pakne dein (beech beech mein pani check karein)۔
  6. Jab gosht gal jaye aur oil upar aa jaye to zeera powder aur garam masala daal dein۔
  7. Aakhir mein hari mirch, adrak aur hara dhania daal kar 5 minute dum dein۔
  8. Lemon juice chahain to upar se daal sakti hain۔

Garam naan, tandoori roti ya chapati ke saath serve karein۔
